1. Nature of service
Daichi Solar & Power is a trading division of Daichi Procurement Solutions. We act as a procurement facilitator — we source, quote, and supply solar energy systems, backup power equipment, and related accessories from verified manufacturers and distributors.
We are not an installation contractor, electrical engineer, or equipment manufacturer. Unless explicitly agreed in writing, we do not perform physical installation, wiring, or civil works. Any installation services are delivered by independent third-party installers in our referral network.
2. Quotations and pricing
- All quotations are valid for 14 calendar days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are quoted in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly marked as inclusive.
- Quoted prices are based on prevailing supplier costs, foreign exchange rates, and shipping rates at the time of quotation. We reserve the right to revise pricing if these factors change materially before order confirmation.
- Quotations are estimates based on the information you provide. Final system sizing and pricing may change following a site survey or technical assessment.
- A quotation does not constitute a binding contract. A binding agreement is formed only upon receipt of your signed order confirmation and deposit payment.
3. Payment terms and conditions
- Orders require a minimum deposit of 50% of the total contract value to confirm procurement and place supplier orders.
- The balance is payable prior to dispatch or delivery, unless a written payment plan has been mutually agreed.
- We accept payment via bank transfer (EFT), mobile money (M-Pesa), and major credit/debit cards. All transfer fees are borne by the payer.
- Title to the goods remains with Daichi Procurement Solutions until full payment has been received and cleared.
- Late payments may incur interest at the rate of 1.5% per month (or the maximum permitted by Kenyan law, whichever is lower) on the outstanding balance.
4. Delivery and lead times
- Quoted lead times are estimates based on supplier commitments and shipping schedules. We will communicate any delays promptly but are not liable for delays caused by manufacturers, shipping carriers, or customs processing.
- Delivery is typically to the address specified in your order. Off-loading and site handling are your responsibility unless separately contracted.
- You must inspect goods upon delivery and report any visible damage or shortages within 48 hours. Claims made after this period may not be accepted.
5. Cancellation and refund policy
- Before supplier order placement: You may cancel without penalty and receive a full refund of any deposit paid, within 5 business days of your cancellation request.
- After supplier order placement: If we have already placed orders with suppliers, cancellation may incur restocking fees, supplier cancellation charges, and any non-recoverable shipping costs. We will deduct these from your refund and return the balance within 14 business days.
- After delivery: Standard equipment orders cannot be cancelled once delivered unless the goods are defective or incorrectly supplied. Solar panels and batteries are non-returnable if unwrapped or installed, in accordance with manufacturer policies.
- Custom-ordered or special-import items are non-cancellable and non-refundable once supplier orders are confirmed.
6. Warranties and product support
Equipment warranties are provided by the original manufacturer or supplier, not by Daichi Procurement Solutions. We pass through the applicable manufacturer warranty terms to you and will assist with warranty claims as a courtesy, but we are not the warrantor.
Warranty periods vary by product — typically 5–10 years for inverters, 10–25 years for solar panels, and 3–10 years for batteries. Specific warranty terms are provided with your quotation and delivery documentation.
7. Installer referral disclaimer
Where we refer you to third-party installers, electrical contractors, or engineering firms, those parties are independent service providers. We vet installers in our network for licensing, insurance, and past performance, but:
- We do not employ, supervise, or control their work.
- We are not liable for the quality, safety, timeliness, or compliance of installation workmanship, electrical wiring, or civil works performed by third-party installers.
- Any disputes regarding installation services must be resolved directly with the installer. We may facilitate communication but are not a party to your contract with the installer.
- It is your responsibility to verify that the installer holds a valid license from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) and any other required Kenyan regulatory bodies.
8. Savings estimates disclaimer
Any solar savings projections, payback period calculations, or energy output estimates provided on this website, in our calculator tools, or in quotations are estimates only.
- Actual savings depend on many variables including but not limited to: actual solar irradiance at your location, system shading, panel orientation and tilt, inverter efficiency, your actual electricity consumption pattern, utility tariff changes, and equipment degradation over time.
- We do not guarantee any specific level of savings, bill reduction, or return on investment.
- You should obtain independent financial or engineering advice before making a purchasing decision based on savings estimates.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Daichi Procurement Solutions' total liability arising from or in connection with any order or service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that specific order.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses including lost profits, lost production, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such losses.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and calculator tools — is the property of Daichi Procurement Solutions or its licensors and is protected by Kenyan and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
