Daichi Solar & Power is a trading division of Daichi Procurement Solutions, a Kenyan company that sources and procures solar energy and backup power systems for homes and businesses across Kenya. In this policy, "Daichi", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Daichi Procurement Solutions.

This policy applies to personal data we collect through this website, by email, by WhatsApp, by phone, and through our quote and enquiry forms. It is aligned with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 and the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Contact details — name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number, company name.
• Project information — location, property type, monthly electricity bill, estimated system size, preferred package, and any notes you share.
• Technical data — device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, referring URL, collected via standard server logs and analytics cookies.
• Communications — records of messages exchanged with us by email, WhatsApp, or our forms.

• To respond to your enquiry or quote request — performance of a contract / steps to enter into a contract.
• To match you with vetted installers in our network — with your consent.
• To send you operational updates about your project — legitimate interests.
• To improve our website and services — legitimate interests.
• To comply with Kenyan tax, accounting and legal obligations — legal obligation.

We share your data only with:

• Verified installer partners when you ask us to source a quote or schedule a site visit. They receive only what they need to serve you.
• Service providers (hosting, email, analytics, CRM) acting on our written instructions.
• Regulators or law enforcement where required by Kenyan law.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Some service providers (e.g. cloud hosting) may process your data outside Kenya. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or processing in jurisdictions recognised as providing adequate protection.

Quote enquiries are kept for up to 36 months from your last interaction so we can support warranty and follow-up. Accounting records are kept for 7 years per Kenyan tax law. After these periods, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act and GDPR you have the right to:

• Be informed about how we use your data.
• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
